Manage and operate FAB plant: Hands on work: can operate a Niagra & Norit filter and Centrifuge. Optimize plant and process performance for continuous improvement. Beer-loss Cost Savings. Do process/material flow analysis to Identify opportunities for minimisation, re-use and recycling of waste. Assessments to be conducted on personnel skills, identify opportunities, provide required train Identify process automation and simplification opportunities, submit and conduct project improvements Monitor daily production efficiencies, lot sizes and waste control, implement projects accordingly. Conduct investigations and explanations for Gains and Losses all raw materials. Evaluate and monitor Management Systems in place, implementation to close gabs Ensure equipment and personnel to be compliant to all GMP requirements.
Ensure all SOP?s to be in place, Production, Safety, GMP, Equipment, C&S, Quality all personnel trained accordingly with records available Responsible for safety within the department: I physically inspect the plant (Visual inspection) for safety deviations, if I detect any deviations; I carry these over to the monthly deviation list of the NOSA Register for the particular month. I use the SHE Rep. inspection check list as a guide to ensure I cover all the items. Record the detail of the deviations on the monthly deviation report; if necessary take pictures for records and Presentations. Attend Safety meetings on a monthly basis to discuss safety issues with other safety reps from other departments. Give feedback in the form of presentations to the Brewing Manager and BAM`s. Make sure that gaps/deviations are closed immediately. Ensure that colleagues follow and adhere to safe working practices in the plant. Publish One point lessons. Ensure the availability of beer for filtration as per filtration plan and production. Quality control: Ensure compliance of beer to the specifications and quality standards. Data Management: Update the electronic Quality Management System on a daily basis per brand using the following Software Systems: Laboratory Integrated Management Systems, Production and Quality Tracking. Do problem solving with regards to quality and downtime using formal analysis and 5 Why?s procedure Use SAP System to create breakdown notifications for Artisans as well as to manage times for Operatores. Process control using SCADA systems and Rockwell (In-touch) Software. Capture Data using Production & Quality Tracking Software (PaQT) and Laboratory Integrated management Systems (LIMS), versions 4&5 Ensuring that safety standards are adhered to by workers in the plant. I have participated in doing audits in the following: Quality Management System (ISO 9001). Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (SABS 0330: HACCP). Environmental Management System (ISO 14001). Occupational Health and Safety Management System (ISO 18001).
