Duties

A direct impact in ensuring the corporate targets namely; Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), Gross Margin (GM) and Net Working Capital (NWC) are achieved.

Managing the team responsible for Indirect Spend and Contract Manufacturing portfolio.

Develop and recommend the strategy, sourcing and contracting of local suppliers.

Executing the strategies of globally led commodities. Identify, select and develop supplier relationships by managing the negotiations within the entire portfolio.

Preparing the budget assumptions for the managed materials and accountable for managing delivery against those assumptions.

Monitoring and identifying risks and opportunities in each sourcing process, driving mitigation and contingency plans to ensure continued supply of the materials/services.

Monitor commodity feedstock information and market dynamics to exploit commercial advantages.

Keeping a sound relationship with suppliers at management levels so that the company is seen as a preferred customer.

Keeping a sound relationship with regional and factory supply stakeholders in understanding needs and priorities to improve cost, service and quality of materials.

Design, verify and amend contracts in conjunction with the Legal department to protect intellectual property, minimise liabilities, exclusivity periods of innovation, material availability and cost improvements.

Manufacturing : Factory Production Manager From 2016-05 To 2019-03
Duties
  • Approving the weekly production plan, ensuring its implementation and taking appropriate actions in the event of deviations.
  • Optimizing the use of the production factors by ensuring the correct use of the production factors in order to maximize the production results.
  • Respect for product quality and productive process within factory by bearing responsibility for the product quality and for the compliance with the work instructions, as defined in the Quality “Capitolati”.
  • Defining the priority of the maintenance interventions of the lines, and, with the support of the Maintenance Manager, contributing to the updating of the maintenance plans.
  • Ensuring that the food safety and hygiene regulations are abided by (cleanliness included) in the plant.
  • Coordinating, planning and defining the activities of the direct co-workers in accordance with the factory guidelines.
  • Evaluating the performance of factory personnel, defining the development plan of direct co-workers and taking responsibility to take all needed actions in order to develop their expertise so that the plan is achieved.

  • Defines the necessary actions for the implementation of the production plan and planning the operational activities for the lines in the business unit.
  • Carrying out the analysis of the variations of the line within the business unit and being accountable for the interruptions and/or slowdowns of the line.
  • Implementing activities for the optimization of the production factors (materials, methods, labour force and machinery).
  • Responsible for the availability of the packaging/semi-finished/raw materials in case of modifications to the production plan during the week.

Polish Manufacturers & Suppliers : Production Planning Team Leader From 2013-08 To 2016-04
Duties
  • Planning of production to ensure that customer service levels for PFR for the portfolio is maintained at 99%.
  • Manage and maintain capacity plans for the lines in the portfolio to proactively analyse capacity constraints based upon monthly and annual forecast volumes.
  • Highlight products for which the forecast is incorrect, identify trends and to ensure they are suitably challenged and reviewed.
  • Monitor & manage sales and inventory levels continuously to maintain stock availability.
  • Liaise, reach finality with and manage local and overseas suppliers on achieving timeous supply of material. This could include dealing with issues related to all aspects of the product e.g. from packaging, raw materials and bulk, through to finished product.
  • Manage and review supplier capacity in proactive manner to identify any issues in terms of supply constraints.
  • Participate and advise in projects pertaining to the launching and re–launching of new and existing products, ensuring implementation as per the milestone plans agreed and contributing to flawless implementation in terms of timing of delivery.

Duties

Planning:

  • Responsible for all production planning at 4 outsource companies.
  • Analyse marketing plan and translate into production plan.
  • Co-ordinating all outsourced planning with internal planning.
  • Manage capacity plans for outsource plants.
  • Planning and calculation of material to ensure availability when moulds are outsourced.
  • Ensuring material is available on time in plant to ensure production is realised.
  • Arrange all equipment before production.
  • Arrange for transport to and from sub-contractor.
  • Annual capacity plans (analysed on a quarterly basis).  Determine whether to curtail or plan overtime on the assets.
  • Ensure BOM’s are up-to-date.
  • Assist planners on the purchasing side of the business
  • Monthly reconciliation of finished goods, RM, FM and packaging.

 

 Reporting:

  • Prepare and analyse daily plan vs. actual production.  Discuss this analysis with the production manager.
  • Determine PPF (Perfect Plan Fulfilment) on a weekly basis.  Suggest ways of increasing productivity based on these measurements.
  • Update machine loading report for outsource plants.
  • Auditing of movements to and from the outsource plants.
  • Preparing of monthly physical stock reconciliation reports for the outsource plants.
  • Analysis and investigation of variances based on the monthly stock reconciliation report.
  • Preparing the financial variance report for each outsource plant monthly.

  • SKU Reduction
  • The elimination of low/non- profitable items and in turn reducing the number of items being purchased.
