Duties

Human Resources: 

  • Assisting the managers and owners with the recruitment process.
  • Advertising vacant positions, preparing new contracts and job descriptions, and managing the employment process.
  • Ensuring new employees fully understand the policies and procedures.
  • Updating company policies and procedures.
  • Arranging induction training for all new employees.
  • Coordinate and administer employee status changes (i.e. pay increases, promotions, and demotions).
  • Assist foreman and managers in training employees by giving toolbox talks, explaining new or updated policies, etc.
  • Maintain a safe environment for employees and clients by ensuring that the Health and Safety Act and ISO requirements are adhered to.
  • In charge of leave approval and keeping leave registers up to date.
  • In charge of overtime approvals and log sheets.
  • Arranging employee medicals and ensuring medicals are up to date.
  • Ensuring that the company’s  Performance Management Cycle is up to standard by assisting line managers with planning, setting goals, monitoring progress, reviewing employee performance, and measuring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Arrange employee training (working at heights, confined spaces, etc.) and ensure all employees have up-to-date training and valid training certificates.
  • Issue warnings and disciplinary hearing notices.
  • Ensuring the legal team has all the required information and documentation for CCMA cases.
  • Ordering and issuing PPE to all employees and ensuring all employees have the required PPE relevant to the specific tasks.
  • Ensuring that Injury on Duty (IOD) claim forms are completed and registered before the due dates.
  • Provide payroll information to the external HR firm by collecting time and attendance records.

 

Office Administration:

  • Handling switchboards and emails.
  • Handling all petty cash slips and cash books on pastel for the accountants.
  • Handling and processing all supplier and customer payments.
  • Handling all quotations for customers and suppliers.
  • Liaising with suppliers.
  • Processing client and supplier purchase orders.
  • Generate invoices and delivery notes.
  • In charge of all month-end invoices and statements to clients.
  • Follow up on client payments.
  • Resolving client complaints.
  • Scheduling appointments and meetings.
  • Maintaining asset registers.
  • Maintaining the quality of services provided by following organizational standards

An independent game studio  : Consultant and Data Specialist From 2013-01 To 2020-10
Duties
  • Wildlife data analysis.
  • Record Keeping and data consolidation.
  • Working with laboratories to confirm DNA percentage and animal origin.
  • Animal data filtering, verification, and updating of records.
  • Meeting with new or existing clients to establish or maintain client relationships.
  • Attending wildlife auctions.
  • Creating wildlife catalogues.
