REPORTING TO THE MANAGING DIRECTOR
JOB PURPOSE:
To provide leadership and to manage project capabilities to execute multi-disciplinary system projects, which meet project goals. The role includes business development related to the Company's product range and project capability.
JOB FUNCTION:
Project Business Development:
Identify project opportunities in conjunction with stakeholders
Visit customers/plants to assess opportunities and stated SOW’s related to enquiries
Complete surveying/site measurement/scanning is done to enable conceptual designs and costings
Evaluate and assess technical and commercial risks related to proposals
Contract Management:
Reflect company requirements in commercial terms contained in proposals
Change management processes are established and implemented
Manage and maintain an effective documentation control system
Maintain an effective cost management system to track cost progress and achieve projected profits
Sub-suppliers are sourced and supplier selection is done to comply with contractual obligations
Process and Engineering Design:
SME’s are facilitated to enhance design capability in a cost-efficient manner
Approve process and engineering design and sign-off as required
People and Resource Management;
Select, allocate and manage relevant resources for all activities in the project office
Define project responsibilities and authorities to ensure project clarity
Reconcile cost variances on a weekly basis
Establish and maintain the department structure and operating model
Develop and maintain policies, standards and procedures for the work performed in the department
Set annual performance targets for individuals and the team
