- Cold calling
- Cultivate, maintain and grow good customer relations either via telephone or visiting current or potential clients
- Ensuring that the allocated turnover targets are achieved
- Attend to all incoming telephonic and email enquiries
- Coordinating and follow up on sales quotations
- Check stock availability
- Liaise with Buyer regarding required material if stock is not sufficient for orders
- Ensure all orders are raised on the system timeously and accurately
- Coordinate and assist with the expediting of all current and outstanding orders and report accordingly
- Liaise with all internal departments, at all levels to ensure excellent customer service
- Liaise with customers regarding delivery requirements and arrange accordingly
- Supporting internal sales representatives when required
- Sales forecasting
- Monthly sales estimates
- Fill in daily call sheets and submit to the General/Sales Manager
- Use and follow up on current lead times as instructed by the General/Sales Manager
- Ensure that all administration work adheres to company procedures
